I want to become a better writer and stop starting sentences with 'I.'
The only writing in my life these days are pretentious personal statements or informal emails.
Most of the grammar I learned in grammar school is forgotten.
So I started writing on here. I'm no Perez Hilton (Avery loves that guy), but I think I'm getting there.
I listened to old songs by AFI tonight. What happened to them? ...What happened to me? If bands change their sound and take flack because of it, the same should probably be said for the listener as well. Five years ago it was Rancid, Poison the Well, Sick of it All... now its Iron & Wine, Death Cab, Belle and Sebastian, Tegan and Sara. Then again, five years ago it was drink a whole case in one night, take lots of adderall and see how late you can stay up, play the punch your friends in the nuts game. Things change.
